At the invitation of the president of the Slovenian-Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce Dr Asim Busch – Pusitsch, the delegation from Kuwait revisited Slovenia. In the beginning of the official visit of the National Assembly of Kuwait in the Republic of Slovenia, guests were accepted by the president of the Commission for International Relations and European Affairs of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janvit Golob, with delegation. On the next day of the visit, the delegation was accepted by the minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia Zdravko Počivalšek. Afterwards, the delegation was accepted by the president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Dr Milan Brglez. Further on, the meeting was held with the director-general for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Mr Matej Marn. In the afternoon, the delegation went to the construction site of the mosque in Ljubljana, accompanied by the mayor Zoran Janković and the president of the National Council Mitja Bervar, MSc.


During the fourth day of the visit they went to see the premises of the Slovenian-Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce, where they held an international meeting in a friendly spirit. The meeting was also attended by a special guest, former president of the Republic of Croatia Stjepan Mesić.


The delegation of the National Assembly of Kuwait concluded its visit on the 1st July 2017 with a dinner, organised by the president of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia, Mitja Bervar, MSc.


The main subjects of the meeting were cooperation between the Slovenian and the Kuwaiti National Assemblies and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
